Within the newest replace of the Clint Gutherson contract chaos, the Eels fullback has withdrawn from all negotiations with the membership in the interim.
The Eels introduced on Thursday evening, “to permit Clint to totally concentrate on soccer, the membership and Clint’s administration have agreed to place contract discussions on maintain till the conclusion of the season”.

The Eels will want to resume negotiations before November 1 – when the fullback will be named a free agent and allowed to negotiate with rival clubs.

The pull-out comes after Gutherson reportedly demanded $1 million from the Eels earlier in the week.
On Wednesday, Fox Sports revealed his agent, Ayoub, stormed out of a meeting with Parramatta’s list committee when an offer worth $750,000 a year was tabled.
Later that same day, Gutherson fronted media and was asked about the $1 million demand.
“I’d love to get that… I have no clue where that came from,” Gutherson said.
“That’s up to Sam (Ayoub)… I’ve got to leave that to Sam. I don’t even know where this has popped out of.”

On NRL 360 on Wednesday evening, Paul Kent instructed Gutherson hasn’t helped the firestorm surrounding his contract and future on the Eels.
“Clint Gutherson employs Sam Ayoub, he pays him to do his negotiations. For (Gutherson) to take a seat there and say ‘I don’t know the place it’s at’… he ought to have a price in his head what he thinks he’s price and what he needs to get, and say to the supervisor ‘if we get to this determine, I’m comfortable’,” Kent stated.
“For Clint Gutherson to be a part of this circus happening round Parramatta in the intervening time, when he’s captain of the membership, all he has to do is put his quantity right down to the membership, get his supervisor to type out the nuts and bolts of it and it’s carried out.
“It’s all backwards. He employs the supervisor.”
